Aerodynamic improvements – learning from NexarDuring the development of the new Nexar aero platform, we gained deep insight into airflow behavior, tube interaction and frontal-area optimization.
This knowledge has been transferred to the new Breed, allowing us to significantly improve its aerodynamic efficiency compared to the previous generation — without compromising gravel performance.
Key aerodynamic upgrades:
- Refined tube profiles: Tube shapes have been optimized to improve airflow streamline, with cleaner transitions and straighter tube sections to reduce turbulence.
- Reduced front-end volume: The new fully integrated handlebar features an extremely slim profile, significantly lowering the bike’s frontal area.
- Lower frame stack: A revised frame architecture allows a lower stack height, improving rider position and reducing aerodynamic exposure.
- Lower seat stay design: Shorter, lower-positioned seat stays reduce frontal area and improve airflow around the rear of the bike.
The result: A faster, more efficient Breed - benefiting directly from aero learnings developed on our pure road performance platform.
Weight reduction – engineered efficiency
The new Breed has been developed with a clear objective: reduce weight without compromising stiffness, strength, or durability. This has been achieved through an optimized engineering process and targeted component integration.
Key weight-saving pillars:
- FEA-driven carbon layup optimization: Advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was used throughout development to precisely identify high-stress and low-stress areas of the frame. This allowed us to reinforce only where needed and reduce carbon material in zones not requiring additional strength.
- Structural efficiency through tube shaping: By accurately localizing stress paths, tube sections were reshaped and locally enlarged where required, increasing structural inertia through geometry. This higher shape efficiency enables equal or higher stiffness with less carbon material.
- Integrated carbon cockpit: The new one-piece integrated carbon handlebar is a major contributor to total weight reduction, delivering approximately 30% weight saving compared to a conventional two-piece aluminum stem and handlebar setup.
The result: A lighter Breed achieved through engineering optimization, not by sacrificing reliability — delivering a faster and more responsive gravel platform.

Of course, the rest of the geometry has been carefully adapted to meet the demands of gravel riding:

- An increased wheelbase enhances stability at speed and on unpredictable surfaces.
