The FR 01 120 freeride boot is equipped to take you off the beaten path. It's engineered for powerful downhill performance with a true 120 alpine ski boot flex index.

The innovative hybrid cabrio / overlap construction combines the best of both worlds: the close fit and edge control of the overlap, and the progressive flex of the 3-piece. Paired with the patent-pending Phaenom strap, the FR 01 120 provides rebound, shock absorption and exceptional flex control. The elasticity of the strap generates tangible rebound through your turns, for increased power transmission, turn initiation precision, comfort and predictability.

The sleek all-black design supports restoration and reuse of the boot and its parts. Each element of this product — from panels to buckles to straps and screws — is designed to be repairable and recyclable.

Shell technology:
- Phaenom strap: The innovative phaenom strap provides superior shock absorption and flex control from a single recyclable material. Working in combination with the hybrid cabrio design create a unique linear-flex pattern, providing a consistent feel and rebound throughout the turn which translates to more comfort and stability. Although being more forgiving, the boot encourages more control at lower and higher speeds. Designed with a large key hole to facilitate useability and fine tuning the fit around the upper part of the shell.
- Recycled materials: The shell is made with 15% - 30% recycled TPU. The insoles are made with 30% recycled EVA. Every piece is designed with reduce, reuse, recycle in mind.
- Oversized buckles: Clean design, engineered to ensure durability and ease of use. Less is more. Made from 100% recycled aluminum. 100% recyclable! 100% repairable!
- ISO 23223 - alpine ski boots with improved walking soles: Safety first. Our soles are built according to ISO standard 23223. Easier to walk without affecting the function of the alpine ski bindings.
- Interchangeable anatomic spoilers: Fully customizable to ensure an ergonomic and precise calf hold and your preferred forward lean. Available in different thicknesses. The spoilers can be adjusted 5mm in height for a snug fit of the calf muscle.
- Adjustable forward lean: The upper connection of the walking mechanism adjusts vertically and allows forward lean angles of 13°, 15° and 17° (boot comes mounted in a 15° position).
- Walk mechanism: Flip the bar up for touring mode. Flip the bar down for ski mode.
- Buckle touring clip: Keeps the buckle in place while touring.
- Toe and heel tech inserts: Iso norm low tech inserts compatible with touring bindings. Replaceable toe and heel pieces. Screw off, screw on.


Liner technology:
- Construction: Featuring a thicker and softer foam (appr. 9mm). The liner was designed to be as sustainable as possible without sacrificing performance. Utilizing as much recycled materials as is practically possible without compromising the performance and durability of the product. The foam is recycled, the fabrics have a minimum 50% recycled content, the inner sole is made from 50% bio-based EVA and all webbing and laces are made from 100% recycled materials.
- Bio-based vibration absorbing outer sole: The checkered print outer sole is designed to absorb high and low frequency vibrations coming up through the ski boot, making repeated landings more confortable and reducing foot and leg fatigue throughout the day. The outer sole’s extra grip and design means it's tough enough to be worn alone at après, or on your journey to and from the ski hill. Made from a minimum of 50% bio-based content.
- Elastic laces: The optional laces provide a tighter and more responsive feeling while skiing and walking.
- Calf stabilizer: The TPU plastic placed meticulously around the calf and shin area redistributes pressure to eliminate pressure points. The added support also helps to get a better feel for the snow and your butters.
- Self-molding foam: The ergonomically placed, premium recycled foam quickly shapes itself to the feet after one or two days of skiing. Heating up the liner is possible and can speed up the process but is not at all necessary.
- Phaenom x Lenz insole: Developed in collaboration with Lenz and highly renowned orthopedic specialists. These premium pre-shaped footbeds provide extra support, comfort and help prevent fatigue. These insoles can be further customized to your feet at an authorized retail partner. The result is a precise and high-quality fit. To top it all off the insoles are covered with an eco-mesh fabric that pulls the humidity away from your feet. The insoles are made with 30% recycled EVA and cork under the heel to further help with absorbing vibrations.
